Chinchilla Seis+Seis

Name: Seis+Seis

Type: Sustainable red wine

Vintage: 2013

Winery: Bodega Doña Felisa

Region: D.O Sierras de Málaga, Serranía de Ronda

Variety: Tempranillo 60%, Syrah 40%

Alcohol: 14.5 Vol.%

Elaboration: Cold pre-maceration of the grapes at 12ºC during 24 hours with a further maceration in stainless-steel tanks for four days. Subsequently, the wine is fermented with selected yeast in the vat at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation also occurs within the vat. Then, the wine aged during 9 months in French oak barrels.

Colour: This wine shows a cherry-red color with of medium densi­ty, whilst being clear and brilliant with great aromatic intensity.

Nose: aromas of blueberry and woodland fruits all enla­ced within notes of chocolate, toasted spices and a hint of oak and salinity. 

Mouth: a charming entry on the palate wra­pped within a floral overture. A hint of bitterness as the wine passes through the mouth, expressing its gently tempered mine­rality. Full and potent on the palate with an elegant and prolon­ged finish.

Pairing: This wine is the most versatile of all our wines and goes well with all kinds of fish due to its slight salinity, as well as with pasta and is fantastic with grilled meats.

Chinchilla Encaste

Name: Encaste

Type: Sustainable red wine

Vintage: 2013

Winery: Bodegas Doña Felisa

Region: D.O Sierras de Málaga, Serranía de Ronda

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Alcohol: 15%

Elaboration: Cold maceration of the grapes at 14ºC during 24 hours with a further maceration in stainless-steel tanks for 2-3 days. Subsequently, the wine is fermented with selected yeast in the vat at a controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation also occurs within the vat. Then, the wine aged during 12 months in French oak barrels.

Tasting Notes: Its twelve months of pampered rest in French oak barrels produces a wine of great beauty for the eye, profound balsamic aromas, a mellow hint of wood and a flavour that is both deep and serious.

Chinchilla Doble Doce

Name: Doble Doce

Type: Sustainable red wine

Vintage: 2012

Winery: Bodega Doña Felisa

Region: D.O Sierra de Malaga, Serranía de Ronda

Variety: Cabernet Sauvingnon 85 % and Merlot 15%

Alcohol: 15 Vol.%

Elaboration: Cold maceration of the grapes at 14ºC during 24 hours and a further maceration in stainless-steel tanks for three to four days. Subsecuently,the wine is fermented with selected yeast in the vat at controlled temperature. The malolactic fermentation takes places in French oak barrels when the wine is aged during 12 months.

Colour: Full body wine with a rich ruby red colour.

Nose: Smooth but intensely aromatic.

Mouth: Dark fruits combined with cedar and the notes of french oak and soothing notes of eucalyptus and a hint of clove.

Pairing: A serious wine to be recommended for all red meats, wild meats and all strong  flavored grills.

Awards/Medals: The first Spanish wine to win The Best Cabernet Sauvignons in the World.
