An exciting rarity, a formerly popular regional grape variety—of which now only 50 hectares planted in the world! A long growing period requires the grapes to stay on the vine until late October or November.
HIGH ELEVATION & SUSTAINABLE WINE MAKING
The grape grown at the altitude of 850 metres above sea level
following the principles of sustainability.
No herbicides or pesticides are employed here, the winemakers use algae from the Spanish coast as natural protection from insects.
7 days maceration and fermentation at 21ºC.
Malolactic fermentation in stainless steel vats and 14 days in oak barrels.
Due to the process, sulfur at bottling is extremely low.
Deep red in colour.
Aromas of coffee, blackberry and chocolate lead to a full bodied wine
with dark fruit and good acidity
that finish in toasted notes of dark fruit.
Serve between 12ºC and 12ºC .
